Question:
Rabbi,

I've been HIV+ for ten years. In the last couple years I've been frequently ill. I've lost all my physical strength. Simple things like cleaning, cooking, or taking a shower have become difficult tasks. The symptoms I deal with - constant nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea keep me at home most of the time. I'm not even comfortable around people anymore. I'm very underweight, and I have eleven rotten teeth left. Honestly I get tired of people assuming I'm a crack head based on my appearance...

I'm not sure what I'm even asking you. I'm just very bitter, and angry - and I don't know how to fight back the sense of hopelessness anymore.
Answer:
I hear your troubles my friend. No matter what, Rebbe Nachman says, "Never give up hope". Life is a narrow bridge, you just have to hang in there. Hashem should bless you with supportive friends, family, and with good health. Continue to seek out only the best medical care even if you have to travel to get there. Your body deserves the best treatment. I think you should also seek a good dietition. The right one sounds like they could turn most of the symptoms around or at least help offset them.
And don't ever forget, Reb Moshe loves you my friend!

Question:
I was recently asked by one of my friends (who isn't Jewish) why Jews do not believe in Jesus, and why the "Jewish G-d" seems really harsh, unlike the Christian way of viewing Him.
I was embarassed that I couldn't give her a proper answer other than that he didn't fulfill the requirements to be the messiah, but of course he was a good man.
Anyway, I happen to be confused on this subject and wanted to really know what a good answer might be!
Thank you : )
Answer:
When a father loves his child, in order to draw him closer, he punishes him or is strong on disipline. Those He doesn't love, he doesn't bother to rebuke. This is why Jews suffer more then others. We also learn that fear of Hashem is the basis for the entire Torah. If Hashem was not looked at with such fear, who would follow the Torah.
